The new year brought a big swell to Southern California surfers this year. Sets that peaked at 12ft in places started on Thursday January 5 and lasted for a few days. These pictures were taken on the north side of the Huntington Beach Pier on Saturday, January 7, which was the third day and final day of the swell.
