I grew up in rural Missouri, so the Ocean used to be a strange, foreign thing to me. Living in Long Beach, CA over the past nine years has made it much more familiar to me, but going to the Beach is still a wonderful treat. And I hope it always will be. There’s something special about it: the smell, the breeze, the taste, the air, and especially the light.
