Now, I'm certainly not a model Christian. In fact I don't even really consider myself one even though I'm a confirmed Anglican (yeah I know it's weird). My beliefs lie somewhere in between those of John Lennon and Hedwig Robinson. When asked if she has accepted Jesus Christ as her lord and savior, Hedwig replied, "No. But I'm a fan of his work."Ditto.
I wouldn't be a good Christian anyway because I'm too damn selfish. I like cursing a whole fuck-of-a-lot. And I'm not exactly a pacifist. But then again, neither are any of the right-wing, evangelical, war-mongering, intolerant assholes who say shit like this:
"I want you to think about this, folks. You know, most of the people that earn minimum wage are teenagers. They're in the job market for a short period of time, they're learning some job skills, they're learning workplace skills. Most of the people who aren't teenagers that have a minimum-wage job, it lasts about three to four months, and they're off making more money. I want you to think for think for a moment of how incompetent and stupid and worthless, how -- that's right, I used those words -- how incompetent, how ignorant, how worthless is an adult that can't earn more than the minimum wage? You have to really, really, really be a pretty pathetic human being to not be able to earn more than the human wage. Uh -- human, the minimum wage."
Correction. You have to be a pretty pathetic human being to be Neal Boortz.
What gives, Neal? Maybe you should start believing some of the Sermon on the Mount stuff.
"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."
Oh, and when you do read the sermon again, make sure you take note of the stuff about the meek. And there's also some good stuff in there about Peace and Peacemakers. If you need more advice, go here....or just open up yer damn Bible.
